Book Review- A Year Without Autumn

A Year Without Autumn-
A girl named Jenni lives with a pregnant mother, a younger brother, Craig, and her dad. Her family takes the same vacation every year. They go to a village of houses. Her best friend Autumn, and her little brother Mickey and her family come along also. This year, when Jenni takes the old elevator up to see her friend, she jumps a year in time. Autumn's brother Mickey has himself in a coma, that he is not likely to come out of, Her parents have lost jobs, and their expensive lodge they used to rent. Jenni is horrified to find that her mother has had her baby sister, Thea, and that she is more stingy and picky than ever before. Not to mention that the used-to-be spotless cabin is now trashed. Jenni comes back to the present and then jumps two and three years into the future. She finds that Mickey's coma is her fault, and is given the lucky chance to come back to the present a day earlier, and is able to fix everything.

Book Review- Flygirl

Flygirl

This book is about a black girl who looks white. Ida Mae Jones loves to fly, and ever since her daddy died under a tractor, she's been wanting to fly again. Her brother Thomas went off as a military doctor. World War II is raging. Ida Mae scrubs floors as a maid with her best-friend Jolene to earn money to go to Chicago to learn to fly. When food stamps are new, Ida knows she has to do something to get Thomas home. Her younger brother Abel shows her a newspaper clipping of the W.A.S.P. It states that women are now eligible to fly a plane for the military. Ida Mae has a thrill. The program is only for whites. She looks white.
Jolene dresses her up like a white and Ida Mae signs herself up for the interview. She is accepted. Her mother hates the whole idea and slaps Ida for the first time when she arrives home.
Ida is sent to Sweetwater Texas for training. So far, everyone accepts her as white. She meets Patsy and Lily, who become her friends. Join Ida as she learns how to fly, and how to be white.

Okay...just an update

Okay...just an update. Here are MY REVIEW of a book  I've read recently.

Once Upon a Marigold-

This story is a very interesting fantasy. A troll named Ed lives in a cave
where all the rooms have colored crystals in the roofs. He stumbles
across a boy one day who is lost and running away from home. This
boy's name is Christian, and he is seven. Ed brings up the lad,
but he didn't want to at first. Ed would have returned him to his folks,
but they were no where to be found. When Chrsistian grows up he
notices a black-haired princess. He p-mails her and they become bosom
friends. Their friendship is sealed with an oath. Ed sends Chris to work
at the castle, and her finds himself living close to his love.
There are family battles, a defiant tricky queen, loyal, apologetic sisters,
and a very sick king. There is also a wedding.

off to get some money. They plan to steal some of it.
When they go to the Bank to deposit money they run into
a Bank robbery and become associated with it.
The famous marshal is defeated by them and swears
not to sleep until he has them put the death. Throught this
thrilling movie he gets crazy and keeps trying over and over to kill them.
Finally they end up saving the day.
