D.I.Y- Picture Canvas

Picture Canvas
haley

SOME OTHER INFO YOU MIGHT WANT TO KNOW!

This was a really easy, fun, sticky craft that I did with my mom. It took us about 20 minutes.

Below I put what you need for this project, but I really recommend also having a paper towel or something to push down your photo and fabric. We just used our fingers which wasn't the best idea because the spray adhesive is very, very, very sticky and it got all over our fingers and it was very difficult to get off! I thought I wasnt going to be able to post this today because my fingers were so so so sticky! Just incase your fingers get really sticky too, finger nail polish remover does help remove most of the stickiness from your hands.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED!

1. Fabric
2. Photo
3. Spray Adhesive
4. Canvas
5. Scissors
6. Paper towel or something to push down your photo and fabric (Recommended)

HOW TO DO IT!

1. Cut/tear the fabric the correct size for your canvas
2. Spray the Adhesive onto the canvas
3. Slap on the fabric and glue it on the sides and back of the canvas. Make sure push and pull the fabric on tightly
4. Now its time to glue on the picture!
5. Spray some adhesive on the back of the picture...not too much though!
6. Pat down the photo with a paper towel
7. And your awesome photo canvas is finished!
Also, the canvas and picture might seem sticky but as soon as it dry's it wont be!

In Action!
Step 1
Step 2

Step 3

This is what the final product should look like!

Computer How To: Teardrop

How many times have you been using Microsoft Publisher and you cannot find a tear shape? There isn't one!

This post is going to teach you how to make a teardrop using Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Powerpoint, Paint, or any other program that lets you use shapes. First of all you need a clean page, new slide etc.

You will need two shapes to make this teardrop. A circle and a triangle.Once you have your two shapes you will need to fill them in with blue.

I recommend a light blue as the blue color you use. If desired you may make it any other color.
Once you have your two blue shapes drag the triangle over the circle.

Your shapes should look like this.If not you may have made your triangle too big or two small. Adjust by dragging the corner in or out while holding the shift key. Once your shapes look like this you have two options.

You can decide which finish you'd rather like, instructions below.

1. For finish number one you will need to make a straight line and drag it along the black line showing. Once it covers the entire line let go. Then make the line the same color blue as the triangle and the circle. Wa-la! A teardrop!

2. For finish number two simply make the triangle and circle's outline color be the same blue as their fill color. Wa-la! A teardrop!

 * Teardrops can also be petals!

NERDS

When you think of NERDS do think of the candy or actully a nerd? When I think of a nerd I think of this.....................................

If someone were to ask you what a NERD was...what would you say? Would you say a wierd looking kid that's really smart or would define NERDS as a type of candy? The definition of a NERD is an unstylish, unattractive, or socially inept person; especially: one slavishly devoted to intellectual or academic pursuits.
Have you ever wondered who made up the definition of a NERD? I dont think that definition of NERDS should be the only one. What about the candy??? Why isn't there a definition for the awesome candy of NERDS?!?! I love the candy NERDS and I hope you do too!!!

Toms

Okay, so you already know that we are obsessed with the Toms shoe brand. So I thought I'd give you a little background/ history today.

(Wondering why Toms are so expensive?)

Well, here's why. I think it's a truly noble cause. For every pair of shoes you buy from Toms, they give a pair of Toms to a child without shoes.

I think this is totally awesome. (Although no Toms are in my possession; too expensive)

Think of it this way. When you buy a pair of Toms, you are actually buying a pair of shoes for a shoeless child! How wonderful! This is what Christ wants us to do!
